White Doves : a new ballet

A new ballet for Belfast, White Doves tells the story of the formation of the Peace People. Bringing audiences back to the summer of 1976, historic scenes are woven together by two white doves in a unique retelling of Belfast's past.Choreographed by Ruaidhrí Maguire, the production brings together internationally working dancers Leigh Alderson and Danila Marzilli with a cast of 28 pre-professional dancers from across the island. Amelia Clarkson's new score is performed live by an ensemble of local musicians, conducted by Jonathan Mann.

NATO – The US dominated Global War Machine
Patrick Murphy’s column in the Irish News of l8/6/22 entitled ‘Pope’s comments may help avert global conflict’ are courageous and challenging. Courageous in that Ireland (and most of Europe) are caught up in Russia phobia and war propaganda being peddled by our main stream media and military industrial complex. Murphy quoted Pope Francis as saying that the war was ‘perhaps somehow either provoked or not prevented’. I think this statement hints towards the elephant in the room (NATO/US endless expansion). The US Peace Council of 12th May, 2022 (www.uspeacecouncil.com) describe the Ukraine as a US Manufactured Conflict and says ‘Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine could have been avoided if the US had not relentlessly provoked it.’ NATO – the US dominated Global War Machine whose policy is ‘full dominance spectrum’…
