The Peace PeopleA delegation of five Peace People travelled to Israel on 19 April 2004 to vigil at Ashkelon prison for Mordechai Vanunu and to be present for his release on 21st April.
They were: Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Ann Patterson, Barbara Faibish, Kevin Cassidy and Justin Morahan.
With other friends and supporters from around the globe numbering about100, they visited the newly released whistle-blower in Jerusalem that evening and found him in good spirits after eighteen years in prison.
The following day they visited Palestine and were guests at a Palestinian refugee centre.
