Before leaving  Ms.Maguire said :

‘We are grateful to Mussalaha for their invitation to Syria.  We are grateful too for this Opportunity to join in love, friendship and solidarity with the Syrian people in these terrible days of violence, suffering and death in their country. We wish to learn for ourselves what is happening on the ground in Syria and what the Syrian people want for their country.   We recognize that there must be a Syrian solution To the Syrian crisis and the people of Syria have a right to dignity, equality and self-determination. We take hope and are inspired by the work of Mussalaha who recognize that violence is not the solution but part of the problem and that peace and reconciliation is necessary for the survival of Syria.’
