This World Refugee Day, we are spotlighting the plight of the Rohingya people with the online premiere of Standing with Rohingya Women short film. This five minute film follows the February delegation to Bangladesh with Nobel Peace laureates Tawakkol Karman, Shirin Ebadi, and Mairead Maguire, in partnership with Bangladeshi women's right organization Naripokkho. This the delegation visited the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar to investigate the situation of the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, particularly the violence against Rohingya women— including high levels of sexual violence.
