NOBEL PEACE LAUREATE MAIREAD MAGUIRE CALLS FROM SYRIA/LEBANON TO UK GOVERNMENT NOT TO BOMB SYRIA

After visiting Syria for five days, and ending the visit with some days in Lebanon, Mairead Maguire On behalf of an International Delegation which she led to Syria/Lebanon, called upon the UK Government not to bomb Syria. The delegation of eleven people, from six countries, called for peace and dialogue as a way to solving the crisis in Syria, and not violence and war. Irish Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire and 14 delegates from Australia, Belgium, Canada, India, Ireland, Poland, The Russian Federation, The United Kingdom and the United States, will begin a 6-day visit to Syria to promote peace and to express support for all Syrians who have been victims of war and terror since 20ll.
