Protests Against Violence

Thousands of people turned out yesterday on the Silent Peace Vigils to stand against the violent murders of Patrick Azimkar, Mark Quinsey and Stephen Carroll.

There were Vilgils in Belfast, Lisburn, Newry, Downpatrick, Derry and Craigavon.

Some people came out to show anger, others to try to send a message to the perpetrators that they do not want a return to violence. Some people gathered to be with others during this period of anxiety.

The Peace People offer our symapthy to the family, friends and colleagues of Patrick Azimkar, Mark Quinsey and Stephen Carroll, and to everyone who has been afftected by these recent events.
