Minister for Peace Event
In Peace House, 224, Lisburn Road, Belfast, Thursday, 26th
March, 7.30pm
Bill Bhaneja is co-chair of the Canadian Department of Peace
initiative. He will be sharing about his work in promoting
the Ministry/Department of Peace initiative in Canada and
worldwide
It will be a good opportunity to talk with him about our campaign
for a Minister for Peace in Northern Ireland and also about
his research on creating nonkilling societies, and other related
topics.

Balwant (Bill) Bhaneja
- Research Fellow at the Program for Research in Innovation
Management (PRIME) at the University of Ottawa.
- A former Canadian diplomat, he has written extensively
in recent years on Nonkilling Political Science and the
Canadian Federal Department/Ministry of Peace Initiative.
- He is a member, Canadian Pugwash group, National Co-Chair
Canadian Department/Ministry of Peace Initiative.
- Member Civilian Peace Service, Canada and Science for
Peace.
- He holds a M.A. in International Relations (Carleton University)
and a Ph.D in Science Policy, University of Manchester.
- Conributor to recent book, ‘Global Nonkilling Leadership,
edited by Professor Glenn. Paige, Director of Centre for
Global Nonviolence, Honolulu,Hawai’i
