Maguire joins Peace Laureates at Rome Summit in Special Call for the
Release of Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.

Nobel Laureates' Conference, Rome,  l7-19th  November, 2006.

(Nobel peace Laureates and Peace Laureate Organizations, gathered at our
7th Annual Summit in Rome, expressed our profound concern that we have een
deprived of the participation and thus the insights and wisdom of our
colleague Aung San Suu Kyi. We callupon the Gov., of Myanmar to restore
the civil, human and political rights of Aung San Suu Kye, her followers,
ethnic leaders and other politicl prisoners and imprisoned students leaders.
Further, we callupon the Security Council of the United Nations to meet as
soon as possible to strongly urge for the release of those wrongfully
detained persons. Justice demands this."
